Dr. Mei Lin Bisonnette of St. Paul’s Hospital presents her talk, “Anti-Glomerular Basement Membrane Glomerulonephritis,” as part of BC Renal’s province-side rounds.
She begins by noting the low incidence of anti-GBM disease and describes the various subtypes. She provides background information on the pathophysiology of this disease. Dr. Bisonette then describes treatment options (e.g., PLEX, cyclophosphamide, corticosteroids) and outcomes. She also discusses atypical cases of anti-GBM disease. At the end, she takes questions from the audience.
