A missing Indonesian submarine has been found cracked apart on the sea floor in waters off the coast of Bali.
The vessel was broken into three pieces at a depth of 850 metres - well beyond its survivable limits.
Rescue crews recovered debris including a life vest, grease bottle, parts of a torpedo straightener and prayer rugs.
The military has confirmed all 53 personnel onboard have died.
The submarine disappeared during exercises on Wednesday sparking a frantic operation to locate it.
