Just Stop Oil activists have vandalised the Stonehenge monument in the name of environmental activism.
On Wednesday, two protestors sprayed powder paint on the historic site near Salisbury, Wiltshire around midday.
Wiltshire Police confirmed the two activists 21-year-old Niamh Lynch and 73-year-old Rajan Naidu were arrested on suspicion of damaging the Stonehenge landmark.
United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak slammed the incident calling it “disgraceful.”
Mr Sunak said “a disgraceful act of vandalism to one of the UK’s and the world’s oldest and most important monuments.”
Many commentators online reacted to this incident with British Broadcaster Piers Morgan calling the activists “Morons.”
