VIKING is an easy to prepare drink that uses Calvados as its main ingredient. I was unable to collect much information regarding the origin of the drink, however the specks considering the ingredients quite vary between recipes. I choose this one, and I love it.
The combination of calvados, passionfruit liqueur, together with the sweetness from the grenadine are balanced with some cranberry and lime juice. This results in a fruity, refreshing drink that despite using calvados, will be a great choice for the warmer days in spring and summer.
Without a doubt I will be recommending it to everyone.
INGREDIENTS:
75 ml (2,5 oz.) Calvados
30 ml (1 oz.) Grenadine
15 ml (1/2 oz.) Passoã liqueur
75 ml (2,5 oz.) Cranberry juice
3/4 Lime (cut in wedges)
PREPARATION:
Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Cut a lime in wedges and squeeze ¾ of them into the shaker. Place the wedges inside the shaker as well.
Add ice and shake well for about 8-10 seconds. Once the drink is chilled either dump all of the content into a glass or strain over fresh ice.
Enjoy!
Cheers everybody.
