Satan is a deceiver. He has got most Bible believing Christians of this day to believe that their Bible is the Word of God. Did you know in Revelation 19:13 it is written that His name is the Word of GOD? It is talking about JESUS, not the Bible. Did you know it is written in John Chapter 1; "In the Beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word WAS God." This is NOT talking about the Bible, it is talking about JESUS. Jesus is the Living Word of God and TRUTH proceeds from Him. Jesus says HE is the Way the Truth and the Life. Jesus gives His Holy Spirit to those who want to know Him, and the Spirit of the Living God leads disciples into ALL truth. The Bible does NOT lead us into all truth! Jesus did not promise His disciples a Bible, He didn't say; "GO out with the power and knowledge of the Bible, with your best interpretation." He said, "Wait for the Holy Spirit" and THEN go out in the POWER of the Holy Spirit. Jesus disciples are led by the Holy Spirit, NOT a Bible. Some Bible believing Christians will argue and they will say; "Well, the Bible is the written word of God, but Jesus is the living Word of God. And Jesus, the living Word of God is written down in the written word of God so it's all here in my Bible." What they don't understand is that the word of God proceeds off the lips of God. Those prophets and those people who wrote the New Testament, were listening to the Living Jesus, and when they heard the word of God coming off the lips of God, they wrote SOME of it down, which is now recorded in the Bible. But the word of God proceeds off of the mouth of God, as it is written; "Man does not live on bread alone but EVERY word that proceeds from the mouth of God." And some of those (words) are written down in the Bible so that you and I may read the Bible and come to JESUS, not to more and more knowledge of the Bible, and then set up the Bible as our God. It is a sad thing to see that most Bible believing Christians have the Bible as their God, but they DO NOT come to Jesus. Jesus has NOT become their God. They think the Bible is the way the truth and the life, and they live by the principles of the Bible as if that's the way the truth and the life. Jesus HIMSELF is the way the truth and the life and Jesus Himself gives the Spirit of TRUTH, which leads His disciples into all truth. Are you led by the Bible? Or are you led by the Spirit of the Living God? One more thing is, a lot of Christians quote this verse in Hebrews Chapter 4, and they think that the Bible is the Word of God. And they read this right here. Hebrews Chapter 4 vs. 12-13 says; "For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword." They read that and then they say; "See, the Bible is the Word of God." But if you read on you realize that this can't possibly be. It says; "For the word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to divisions of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts." Does the Bible discern your thoughts? "and intents of the heart" and then if you read verse 13 look what it says; "and there is no creature hidden from His sight." Since when was the Bible called a He? Obviously this is talking about Jesus. Nothing is hidden from the sight of Jesus, and when we die and stand before the judgment throne, there is NOT going to be a giant Bible that is discerning our hearts, it's going to be Jesus. The one who divides between the marrow, the soul and the spirit is JESUS, it is not the Bible. We need to come to Jesus and be led by Jesus. Let the Bible testify of Jesus. READ the testimony of the Law and the Prophets and the New Testament, READ what those men of God wrote, but come to JESUS. Don't set the Bible up as your God. May the Grace of Jesus be with you.
