Tuesday, May 25, was Superhero Day at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital!
“All of our patients and incredible team members are superheroes and deserve to be recognized,” said Luanne Thomas Ewald, M.H.A., FACHE, chief operating officer at Mott and Von Voigtlander. “We heard our superhero friends would be paying our patients a special visit and we wanted to create a whole day of socially-distanced fun for everyone.”
Superheroes flew to the children’s and women’s hospitals and waved to patients and staff through the windows as they made the building sparkle and shine. Each patient received a special superhero teddy bear and Child & Family Life organized fun craft activities for patients in their rooms, as well as activity sheets that lined patient lunch trays.
