Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, a New Balance professional athlete, lowered her own world record in the women's 400-meter hurdles by clocking 50.65 seconds to triumph at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field in Oregon. McLaughlin-Levrone achieved a world record in the event for the fifth time in her career, including the fourth time at Hayward Field. McLaughlin-Levrone, 24, is the reigning Olympic gold medalist and will be making her third career appearance at the Olympics in Paris.
