Here in Alabama, folks hunting public land hogs are limited to legal arms and ammunition for whatever other game animal is in-season at the moment. This regulation is similar in many other southeastern states. For hunters who love tromping up the woods with a gun during pretty weather, a .22wmr gives you the ability to shoot everything from squirrels and rabbits to big-ole hogs. I bought a CZ 512 2 years ago and haven't looked back. I'm not a big survivalist, but if I was forced to pick one gun for a SHTF scenario it'd be high on my list. Cheap ammo, low noise and recoil, and very capable in the right hands!
