USC Center for the Political Future Director Kamy Akhavan says Donald Trump has been “very tough” on Iran and the Iranian government “knows it”.

It has been revealed the US Secret Service ramped up security after receiving intel of an Iranian plot to assassinate former US President Donald Trump prior to last weekend’s shooting.

“They worry about what he could do,” Mr Akhavan told Sky News Australia.

“He is not afraid of taking military action and he might use it against Iran.”
