Twenty-minute timed countdown with the sound of an old-fashioned clock ticking. This will help you control your breathing whilst meditating. I breath in for four ticks and then out for four ticks. If you just concentrate on your breathing, then everything else will stop effecting you (hopefully!). The clock sound reminds me of being at my grandmother's house, after school. When we used to watch afternoon tv and fall asleep, due to the fumes from her old gas fire :) good times.
