The European Medicines Agency [EMA] in its “extensive” findings with expert groups has said the “unusual” blood clots found in adults who’d received the AstraZeneca shot is a “very rare” side-effect of the vaccine.
The EMA committee said the current available data did not allow them to identify a definitive cause for these complications.
Despite a possible link, the EMA said the reports of the blood-clotting side effects were “very rare” -but the benefits of the vaccine far outweigh the risks.
