STOP DROPPING SCREWS!! DIYers Try This! (Magnetizer/Demagnetizers...HOW TO HOLD SCREWS CORRECTLY)
Many DIYers struggle with screws and fasteners falling off the end of driver bit or screwdriver.
Magnetized screwdrivers and driver bits are helpful...but I don't necessarily want my screwdrivers magnetized all the time!
A great compromise is a magnetizer/demagnetizer tool. This is a small plastic tool that houses magnets in a certain configuration.
If you would like to magnetize the end of a particular screwdriver or driver bit, just pass it through the rectangular opening on the magnetizer.
If you like like to demagnetize a screwdriver or drill bit, pass it through the stepped opening on the tool.
That's all it really takes! You can test your screwdriver tip against fasteners with ferrous metals.
If you don't demagnetize a driver bit or screwdriver, it will demagnetize itself in about 3 months.
Also, if you don't want to magnetize anything, you can secure a screw to the end of driver with just one finger. This keeps your hand out of the way. See the video for a good example of how to do it!
Thank you!
