F / B Lefka Ori is the name of the highest mountain of Crete.
The ship Lefka Ori is dedicated to these high mountains.
Built in 1992 at the shipyards SHIMONOSHEKI in Japan, was completely renovated in 2000. And 'fully automated and equipped with the most advanced pilot. In his welcoming areas carries 1,500 passengers and 1,100 cars. It has two main engines.

Launched in 1991 in Japan as "Hercules", was used together with her sister on the links between Iwanai Hermes, Muroran and Naoetsu. Sold in 1999, always together with her sister, to Anek Lines, underwent renovation work in Perama shipyards, during the restructuring period, the ship was renamed "Kriti V", before being renamed "Lefka Ori" (name of a massif of the island of Crete) before entering service in the summer of 2000. It was introduced by Anek Lines on a link between Trieste, Igoumenitsa, Corfu and Patras with the twin "Sophokles V." until 2005, when he went to Venice Italian hub.
The ferry has been steadily employed by Anek Lines on this route, with the exception of a short rental at the end of 2007 season, the Algerian CNAN.
