Throughout the centuries, there have been many pirates who sailed the seven seas, and many of them became infamous for their brutality and savagery. Blackbeard for example would plunder and kill to make his own wealth, but one other pirate who did the same was Calico Jack. John Rackham or Calico Jack was a pirate who raided smaller vessels near to Jamaica, and he was skilled at what he did. It was he who struck up a relationship with Anne Bonney, the female pirate and the pair spent much time together.
However Calico Jack was a hunted man and bounty hunters sought to capture him to claim the reward for themselves. Jack was spotted by them, and then a battle erupted which destroyed the boom of his ship. He was arrested and seized, but then to send a message to other pirates he was executed. He was executed on the gallows, but then was also gibbetted in a metal structure near to the entrance of Port Royal.
