The City of Lausanne is the Capital of the Swiss Canton of Vaud, and is located on the French-Speaking part of Switzerland (Romandy), it is the fourth largest City in Switzerland, and is Host to the International Olympic Committee and the Court of Arbitration for Sport among countless other important organizations.
The Women's Triple Jump event was held at 20:45 (local time), the temperature was 19°C (66.2°F), the City of Lausanne is located at an altitude of 526 meters (1,726 feet) above sea level on the shores of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman). The wind varied during the event from +0.5 m/s to + 3.5 m/s.
The event featured nine Tokyo Olympians: Senni Salminen (Finland) and eight Olympic Finalists: Kristiina Mäkelä (Finland), Liadagmis Poveda (Cuba), Thea Lafond (Dominica), Kimberly Williams (Jamaica), Hanna Minenko (Israel), Shanieka Ricketts (Jamaica), the Olympic Silver Medalist Patrícia Mamona (Portugal), the Olympic Champion Yulimar Rojas (Venezuela).
Side Note: Yulimar Rojas is also the Reigning Outdoor World Champion, the Reigning Indoor World Champion, and the World Record Holder. End Side Note.
Final Three Qualifying:
Yulimar Rojas (Venezuela) qualified on her first jump: 15.56m (wind +3.5 m/s).
Shanieka Ricketts (Jamaica) qualified on her second jump: 15.02m (wind +2.7 m/s).
Hanna Minenko (Israel) qualified on her first jump: 14.47m (wind +1.8 m/s).
Final Three Results:
Yulimar Rojas (Venzuela), 15.11m (wind +0.5 m/s).
Shanieka Ricketts (Jamaica), 14.52m (wind +1.7 m/s).
Hanna Minenko (Israel), 12.62m (wind +1.8 m/s)
Based on the results of the Final Three, they mark the Table of Results with the best triple jump of the winner during the event, for Superstar Rojas that was 15.56m, a decrease of 0.702% with respect to her PB of 15.67m (Olympic Record, World Record).
