Hollywood stars are turning their backs on their once beloved Joe Biden after George Clooney pleaded with the president to step aside so a younger candidate can take on Donald Trump.
The actor wrote an op-ed for the New York Times, arguing the president's age could no longer be ignored following his debate with Donald Trump.
The longtime Democratic Party supporter said the 81-year-old was not the man he once was after spending time with him at a fundraiser last month.
"It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe 'big f***ing deal' Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate," Clooney wrote.
Veteran actor Michael Douglas appeared on ABC's The View, where he also discussed his "concerns" with Biden's ability to lead the country.
