We found this kids balance bike used on marketplace and thought it would be a fun project to give it a little facelift
It was a bit beat up and covered in rust. Also needed a new brake cable /housing, as well as new grips, new seat and a new paint job of course.
Wheels were good thankfully, and other than needing a new coat of paint, the frame was in good shape.
Kashy had fun fixing up this old run bike to make it special how he wanted it, he chose black spray paint and green grips (from six pack racing!)
After reassembling bike, Mom worked on the brakes for hours trying to figure them out but the brakes were so old and crappy that it was too frustrating to keep trying at, so she cheated a bit, taking it into the bike shop for brake work..
Last step was Kashy’s second favourite part (after the spray paint haha) decorating the bike with special stickers!
