MyTravel Lite Airbus A320 G-JOEM suffers an engine fire at Manchester Airport in 2005. Photo-Slideshow taken from the Car Park Roof as the Airport Fire Rescue Services douse the affected engine.
The A320 was being prepared for a positioning flight to Birmingham and was being towed from a remote stand when the number 2 engine suffered an engine fire. I was on the airport carpark roof taking photos when this happened and managed to capture the fire services responding and dousing the engine.
It's not the greatest of captures but I didn't film planes until 2015, there was very little info on this incident though some information was confirmed at the time by a friend who worked for MyTravel Airways.
