"I do think that readers want journalists to hold people in elected power accountable. To get facts and answers from them," says Christiane Amanpour, Chief International Correspondent Anchor for CNN, on the importance of journalism and having the courage to seek truth, facts, and evidence.
"I really believe that if you want to be an interviewer, especially for news, you have to have the knowledge and courage to keep asking the question and not be deflected. If you're eager to get the question, your interviewee is probably 10x more eager not to tell you the answer."
