Euro 2012 has seen 72 goals after 30 matches but just two teams remain. It will be either Italy or Spain who will be crowned champions in Kiev's Olympic Stadium on Sunday.
Spain will know this position all too well - they won this prize in 2008 - and are bidding to become the first side to win back-to-back European Championships.
The same side went on to lift the World Cup in South Africa in 2010 but captain Iker Casillas believes his side will be under a different kind of pressure this time around.
"For me, this final is different from before. Four years ago, we achieved what everyone wanted to after a long time without getting anything. The World Cup was also a very nervous time and we did it. Now we have to continue the successes of these years."
La Roja's path to the final this time around may not have been as impressive as the others but they've only conceded once on their road to Kiev. That was against the Italians in their Group C opener earlier in the tournament and head coach Cesare Prandelli will be taking nothing for granted.
"The strength of Spain is not only the ball possession, but also their ability to win the ball back. As for our strategy we'll try to have a numerical superiority in some parts of the pitch. We are not cheeky enough to think that we'll dominate from the first to the last minute of the game, we do respect Spain, but we are also confident we can play our own game."
If history is anything to go by then Sunday's showdown will be a tight affair. In 30 meetings the Italians have won 10 compared to Spain's eight. But given their route to Kiev, the Italians will be more than confident of raining on Spain's parade.
