The front squat is one of my all-time favorite exercises for gen pop clients and athletes alike.
You can lock in your technique, stay tall and upright, and crush your hips, quads and core in the process.
Now that’s not to say that I don’t love back squats - because I absolutely do.
But the back squat can be more time consuming to coach, and let’s be honest - not everyone back squats particularly well, anyway!
I’m always trying to choose exercises that require minimal coaching and cuing, so the person I’m training can focus on getting strong and pushing some weight.
So in today’s video, I’m going to give you a step-by-step breakdown of the things I’m focused on when I coach and cue the front squat.
I guarantee if you go through this tutorial you’re going to be front squatting great in no time.
Now let’s get in the rack and do some front squats!
