The relationship between Climate 200 and GetUp has been exposed as they look to campaign against Liberal MPs in multiple seats.
Originally uncovered by Sky News host Peta Credlin, The Australian newspaper found Climate 200 candidates, including Allegra Spender and Kylea Tink, have been advised by Populares - A communications agency founded by former GetUp Campaign Director Mark Connelly.
GetUp will join Climate 200 in campaigning against sitting Liberal MPs in the seats of Kooyong, Goldstein, and Mackellar, according to The Australian.
“This is part of a clear strategy to destabilise the Coalition government and to destabilise Coalition candidates in a range of marginal seats,” Liberal Senator James McGrath told Sky News Australia.
