Pulau Rawa is a small, uninhabited island to the northwest of Pulau Perhentian Besar and Kecil. It is accessible by chartered boat from Perhentian. Pulau Rawa is perfect for snorkelling and diving, although visitors are cautioned that the coral reef in Pulau Rawa grows so close to the water surface that inexperienced swimmers may hurt themselves if they swim too close to the reefs.
Pulau Rawa has one of the clearest water quality in the South China Sea. Since there are no resorts here, the water is not polluted by human waste. Visitors to Pulau Rawa are urged to bring home their trash.
