The Australian columnist Dr Jennifer Oriel says Elon Musk "has his work cut out for him" if he wants to "make Twitter a free speech zone".

This comes after the billionaire bought a 9.2 per cent stake in Twitter.

"I think there's a lot going on on Twitter and Elon Musk has his work cut out for him if he wants to recover some of its pro-western, pro-liberal free speech principles," Dr Oriel told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
