A great, great shame. This creepy old building was standing in Bell Lane and Tenter Ground at the time of the Ripper murders. Though the Tenter Ground facade is being retained, the rest of the building is being demolished. It was a very atmospheric place but has been sacrificed to the evil God of modernity. On the other side of the street, a VAST new high-rise is nearing completion, just yards away. Not happy.
