Part 1 of a shot-by-shot hickory golf course vlog featuring Connecticut hickory golfer Christian Williams playing the front 9 at Manchester Country Club in Manchester, CT.
Manchester Country Club opened as a 6-hole golf course in 1917 and was redesigned and expanded to 9 holes in 1922 by Tom Bendelow with assistance from Deveraux Emmet, who would come back a year later to expand the course to 18 holes. A.W. Tillinghast visited MCC in 1935 and recommended adjustments to some of the bunkers and green complexes on the back 9 to enhance playability. Since then, the course has undergone many changes but through it all, still maintains the look and feel of a course that matches its golden-age roots and pedigree.
