Errorzone is one of my favorite heavy records to come out in recent years -- I almost always have a Vein song on my gym playlists, cuz it makes me want to run through walls. I was all-in on this band from the first time I heard "Virus/Vibrance": anyone who uses the Amen break in a post-hardcore/metal song is OK by me!
For this one you'll want to tune to drop-C and bust out a Whammy or other pitch-shifter pedal -- I'm using Boss PS-6 Harmonist here. My footwork isn't perfect, but hopefully you can forgive me. I have trouble coordinating all my limbs! Also, I apologize for the tar all over my pink Vans! I swear it looks worse than it is.
Normally I wouldn't go up to the 10th fret to play the part that runs from 1:41-1:54, but I found that was the best way to mute the open C string and keep it from ringing out. You'll see I shift positions around 1:54 when the part chills out and I can consistently mute that open C string again.
Any questions? Did I mess anything up? Leave a comment below!
