World No.2 Simona Halep and former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard will be competing on the clay courts of Prague beginning on Aug. 10, at the TK Sparta Praha.
“Fitness, I would have to go with HALEP. She’s obviously super strong and can outlast you know any of her opponents. Obviously winning the French Open is proof of that as well."
Bouchard, now ranked World No.332, was a quarterfinalist at the ASB Classic in Auckland to begin the season, beating Kirsten Flipkens and Caroline Garcia before losing a tight three-setter to Amanda Anisimova.
Bouchard recently chose herself in the backhand category (as she was building the G.O.A.T. quals).
“Backhand -- can I take my own backhand? I love my own backhand. I try to be really aggressive with it and I feel like I can place it well cross-court down the line and mix it up so you know it’s an important weapon for me to have."
