Masters Enduance Legends (Le Mans cars from about 2000-2015) from Silverstone, Race 2, 1st August 2021 Greaves Motorsport Zytek Z11SN with James Littlejohn.
This is the Silverstone Classic race meeting for historic racing held in the summer each year and it's a huge event. Masters Endurance Legends is the race for the most recent of the Le Mans cars still racing, featuring LMP1, LMP2, LMP3 and lots of GT machinery from throughout the years making for a massively varied grid.
This chassis is the car I worked on at Le Mans in 2013 as the playstation nissan gran turismo car (featured in Gran Turismo 6, and the whole point of the Gran Turismo film), and again the following year at Le Mans, footage of which can be seen elsewhere on this channel if you search Le Mans 2014.
It was great to be reunited with the car to run it on this event and we had the talented James Littlejohn driving to showcase it's pace.
Had a bit of work on getting it out but we got there and it's a cool bit of kit.
We didn't qualify very well but the qualifying session was the first time the car had turned a wheel since around 2016 so it was really just a shakedown before getting to race for 40 minutes.
Mandatory pitstop in the middle with a minimum time (which is why we just sit still chatting for a bit) and then run til the flag.
An amazing event I'd thoroughly recommend for any motorsports fan, now called the Silverstone Festival, probably the most fun weekend I'd had in quite a while.
If you appreciate the videos and would like to say thanks then I always appreciate a decent coffee cheers, [ Ссылка ]
