Working with "figure 8" patterns is a big part of our kinesiology when it comes to movement and body education, but when we have to apply them to actual fighting techniques and tactics, we mostly only pieces and fragments of them, in combinations that make our hand striking very unpredictable and difficult to defend from.
In this video from a recent training session, we study 3 combos: a) strike to the groin and hammerfist to the head (with the same hand), b) strike to the groin and hook to the head, and c) fainting a hook and striking with a hammerfist from the other side.
