A Lei do Divórcio, criada em 1977, permitiu a formação de uma nova modalidade de família: A Reconstituída, Reconstruída ou Mosaico. Anteriormente a esta lei, era possível o rompimento do vínculo matrimonial por meio do desquite, mas que impedia um novo casamento. Hoje, de acordo com a Constituição Federal de 1988, não há limites de divórcios, ou seja, as pessoas podem se casar quantas vezes desejarem.
Neste contexto, um fato muito recorrente nos dias de hoje são as famílias formadas pela comum expressão "meus, seus e nossos". Ou seja, os filhos do casal em outro relacionamento que acabam vivendo juntamente com seus padrastos e madrastas.
Esta matéria faz parte da série de reportagens "Opção Família - Um retrato de novos conceitos na sociedade contemporânea", projeto experimental de conclusão do curso de Jornalismo da PUC-Campinas, em 2013.

O projeto experimental "Opção Família - Um retrato de novos conceitos na sociedade contemporânea" é uma série de reportagens de televisão que aborda três novas concepções familiares: Reconstituída, Monoparental e Homoafetiva, discutidas a partir dos aspectos jurídicos, comportamentais e sociológicos. O projeto mostra que, na atualidade, o ser humano tem a possibilidade de optar pela sua composição familiar e que novos arranjos vêm ganhando espaço na sociedade, ainda que cercados de desconfiança e preconceito.
