Four-time Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe gives the commencement address to graduates of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on May 22, 2022. Before his speech, Dafoe is awarded an honorary Doctor of Arts degree from the university, where he studied theater in the 1970s.
“Be at peace with yourself, find what you love and practice it anyway you can,” Dafoe tells the graduates. “Serve others, make every step a pleasure and trust it will take you where you need to be.”
