Political allies turned bitter foes Raila Odinga and William Ruto met face to face slightly over a week after the Prime
Minister had moved to suspend the Agriculture Minister only for the president to overturn the decision. The two met when Raila summoned a meeting of ODM ministers at his treasury office building with the agenda being to discuss constitution review as well governance issues like corruption. Sources told Citizen TV the Raila defended his decision to suspend both Ruto and Education Minister Prof Sam Ongeri saying he had consulted with top state house officials including head of the civil service ambassador Francis Muthaura. However the PM was also reportedly taken to task over his demand for ministers to take political for the actions of their juniors insisting that if it were to be followed to the letter, then even the Prime Minister himself would have to step aside
