I had always heard how good Axis deer meat is. When I learned you can hunt them during the rut in June, I began to look for free-range Axis deer hunting opportunities. I found SOE hunts and made plans for the hunt. This proved to be a fun hunt, chasing the roars of the bucks and the meat proved to be as good as advertised. Axis deer hunting proved to be quite the hunt!
