The Wofford College men’s tennis team defeated The Citadel Bulldogs 4-3 and honored their two senior players in pre-match festivities Wednesday afternoon at Reeves Tennis Center.
The Terriers (9-11, 3-3 SoCon) celebrated the careers of seniors David Sklar and Parks Thompson before taking two of three doubles matches and three of six singles matches against the Bulldogs (8-27, 0-6 SoCon) to finish the regular season 8-0 at home for the first time since the 2008-09 campaign.
“We played hard today and I’m proud of this win,” Head Coach Rod Ray said after the match. “The Citadel pushed us and gave us the opportunity to make a courageous response. Our doubles play continues to improve every day and it paid dividends today.”
