The General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) in collaboration with the Research and Innovation Center of Institut Lyfe (formerly Institut Paul Bocuse) presents:
The journey of 12 Mediterranean and Black Sea species from farms to your plates.
Enhancing the aquaculture sector and its benefits is one of the priorities of the GFCM through its 2030 Strategy for sustainable fisheries and aquaculture in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
Aquatic foods are pillars of gastronomy and culture in the Mediterranean and Black Sea region and star in countless traditional dishes. They provide high-quality protein and, when sustainably farmed, greatly contribute to food security, employment and economic development.
Twelve culinary students from 12 countries present recipes for twelve aquatic species farmed by pioneering producers in the region, using traditional or innovative techniques.
