Medicare covers many of your health care needs, but there are some services that Medicare doesn't cover. Some of the more common services that Medicare does not cover include:
Long-term care (also called custodial care), most dental care, eye exams, hearing aids, cosmetic surgery, acupuncture, and massage therapy.
If you need any of these services, you'll have to pay for them yourself out-of-pocket or get them through another insurance plan.
Alternatively, you may be able to get some of these services covered by a Medicare Advantage plan if you qualify.
It’s important to note that you're responsible for paying your own Medicare deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments.
