I always loved Martin Rushent's productions. For all you youngsters out there he was a big producer in the 1980s working with the likes of The Associates, The Buzzcocks, The Stranglers, Pete Shelley, Altered Images and others. His pièce de résistance in my opinion was Dare! by the Human League and the remix album "Love and Dancing". Sadly Martin Rushent died in 2011. This small tribute is a remix I did of the track "Come to Your Senses" from the new album by my own band the Beach Bastards. I have re-imagined it as it might have sounded if we had been privileged enough to have Martin at the controls!

There are no samples from the album Dare used in this recording, but I bought a collection of LM1 samples from a guy who owned one. The synth is a G-Force clone of the Electronic Dream Plant Oscar - which is what I would have used back in the early 80s if I could have afforded one. (I do still own an EDP Wasp synth)
