Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching verse-by-verse through The Book of 2 Thessalonians in this sermon from 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 entitled, “Two Prayer Requests for Providential Grace.”
Paul’s purpose in 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 is to request that the Thessalonians pray for God’s providential blessing upon the ministry of the Word as the Apostle moves on in the preaching of the Gospel. Also, as a parting word, the Apostle Paul reassures the Thessalonians of his great confidence in the Lord to ensure the Thessalonians continue walking in obedience and are firmly established in their faith. In this sermon, we come to understanding that while trusting in the Lord’s providential grace, we must pray for success in the ministry of the Word and in the preservation of our souls.
