Cruising is now known as one of the GREAT stallions of Ireland's proud tradition of excellence, in both the breeding and competition of world class showjumpers. Here, circa 1995, he competes in the richest and most difficult grand prix of his time: the Du Maurier Limited International.
This is the only video clip I have of him, where he's admittedly not his typical sharp self, in this particular class. He'd had an extremely busy show season at that point (for such a young horse, at the FEI level) and fatigue seemed to be manifesting itself. Nevertheless, this horse anchored the Irish team to several Nations' Cup and World Cup placings, thus cementing his legacy as not only a prime studhorse, but a world-class competitor in all regards.
