It's a common occurrence when a once simple guitar player gets really fascinated by all the buttons, knobs and faders of a recording studio. And now that Home Recording has become a more common phenomenon, more budding guitar players are looking to start dabbling into making recordings at home.
If you're one of the people I'm talking about then you're probably asking these questions:
Where do I start?
What recording gear should I buy?
Can I get started with such a small budget?
What do you think of xxx gear?
Should I get studio monitors or headphones?
What kind of microphone should I buy?
Should I get an Audio Interface or a USB Mixer?
Now while this video does tackle some of those questions, you shouldn't get too hung up on buying gear. Learn the gear that you have and learn the audio recording skills necessary to make better recordings. And remember, great songwriting is what makes a song great, not gear.
