Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said the club's fans feel "closer than ever before" despite the English Premier League's financial rule breach investigation and reiterated his belief that, regardless of the outcome of the case, the defending champions have "raised the bar" in England's top-flight.
The Premier League charged City with more than 100 breaches of its financial rules on Monday.
A two-year ban from European competitions for breaching UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations was overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in 2020.
Since being purchased in 2008 by the Abu Dhabi United Group, City have enjoyed several trophy-laden seasons and have won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, six League Cups, three Community Shields and reached the UEFA Champions League final in 2021.
