Updated 7/14/2024 - Since posting this interview, Talladega College has announced that they will not be funding the gymnastics program next season. This is DEVASTATING to all of the athletes and coaches who have worked so hard to create this team. There is a chance to keep the program alive for one year via donation. The team needs $500,000 by the end of the month. This can help the team compete for another season until they can find another school where they can continue their gymnastics careers. Any little bit can help! Help this amazing team continue what they started!

Chloe had a chance to go one on one with Talladega's Kyrstin Johnson! Talladega College was the 2nd HBCU to enter into the sport of gymnastics. Kyrstin Johnson is now a rising sophomore. In her freshman year she acquired the title of 2024 Vault Champion and First Team 4x All American.
In this interview, we learn about how Kyrstin got into gymnastics and she offers up advice for all gymnasts that are coming up!
