Subliminal Advertising is showing short messages on a screen or in an audio that the conscious can't pick up but that our unconscious can receive. The messages mostly last about 23ms.
A researcher did an experiment in a cinema with Coca-Cola and popcorn. He said sales were going up. But this was not the case.
Only when the advertised brand helps the people to reach their goal (for example: be less thirsty), subliminal advertising works. But if the viewers are warned about the advertising, it doesn't work anymore!
