I am constantly getting emails about what radio to buy, and what antenna to get with it. Hopefully this series will bring insight into the radios I recommend for certain situations, as well as used options for those on a tight budget. We started off the series with the top 3 used SSB radios, and here are at the new ones.
Without adding export radios into the mix, it's actually pretty sad that the big players (Uniden, President and Cobra) don't even offer a genuine base station of any kind. Still these 3 radios will serve you well as a base setup even if two of them will need an additional power supply to power up.
