Tokyo Olympic high jump champion Maria Lasitskene, who missed almost the entire summer season, performed at the Russian Championships in Chelyabinsk. That's just the return of the leader of the Russian national team turned out to be a little blurry.
The three-time world champion could not overcome the height of 1.89m. It would seem that for an athlete of Lasitskene's level, this is a mere trifle. After all, at the Olympics in Japan, she conquered a height of 2.04m, a personal record of 2.06m. But the result is a modest seventh place.
The best result was shown by the Belarusian athlete Karina Demidik — 1.97m. She performed outside the medal standings. Kristina Koroleva received the gold of the national championship with a result of 1.91m.
