How to do padmasana step by step:
Padmasana or lotus pose is one yoga pose that every yoga practitioner wants to perfect. It's a very ancient pose, Lord Shiva, Gautam Buddha and Jain Tirthankars are depicted doing meditation in this pose.
However, doing Padmasana perfectly is not easy, specially for those who start late. Here I give a step by step guide to do this asana. Don't force or exert yourself while doing it. Keep practising regularly, and slowly your flexibility will increase and you will be doing Padmasana reasonably well.
Benefits: Calms the mind, increases concentration, improves flexibility. It's a basic foundation of dhyana or meditation.
Precaution: Those with joint pain, arthritis, and other flexibility issues should be extremely careful and take doctor's advice before attempting Padmasana.
