To be used as an assistance exercise when you are first beginning to learn how to get the transition. Like anything, we want to load the transition intelligently. No amount of pull-ups will allow for you to get this, so start with bands simply to develop that motor learning. Here, we’re using 2 bands so that you can see where to start. This will progress into a version with no bands, then finally into a bar muscle up. Note that this coach makes this look easy because he’s quite good at muscle ups.
