The beekeeping industry is fragile and the introduction of Apis cerana, the Asian Honey bee, to America could be devastating. They can carry several pests and diseases that our honey bee Apis mellifera does not have any defense against. If you are one of my followers considering to transport honey bees from Asia to America, please stop. It is illegal and you not only will hurt the beekeeping industry but you will also end up in jail.
