The White Sox bullpen is terrible. Kap says Michael Kopech in particular is a huge disappointment. And when you have a bad bullpen, it’s hard to win games, even against bad teams.
On the positive side, Jonathan Cannon is another young starter pitching well for the White Sox. He went 6 innings and only gave up 3 hits and 1 run. He did walk 4 batters, so he needs to get that cleaned up.
Tanner Banks relieved him and gave up 2 runs. Going into the 9th, the Sox cling to a 4-3 lead but Kopech promptly gave up the tying run. A few batters later, Jake Burger came to the plate and hit a walk off 3-run home run against his former teammate.
